I can die now..

You guys! I got a KitchenAid Stand Up Mixer. Finally! It’s a crime that I’ve gone this long without, but I never felt it was the appropriate time to make the investment (these things retail for like $350-$400), and I always seemed to get by without… But no more! I bought this navy blue dream from a kind woman in Bay Point, CA off of craigslist for… $50!! The great thing about not working is that you can go to Bay Point at noon on a Thursday no problemo. The mixer works great and I’ve already christened it by preparing a banana bread. But in a pie pan. A banana bread pie, if you will. (note to self, you can afford a 9×5 bread pan).

Also, my garden is doing SO WELL! I transplanted an avocado pit that has been sitting in a jar on my windowsill for probably over a year, and I think he’s gonna last. The good news is that I can take this guy wherever I go, if I ever go. The 5 tomato plants are going out of control and the little basils I planted by seed will be ready for transplanting in the new bed soon.

Lastly, here’s a little update on collage world and my “Next Adventure” jersey which I debuted on my ride through the Oakland hills yesterday.
